1. Definitions
In these Terms, unless the context otherwise requires:
- “MUCBF” means The Maharashtra Urban Co-Operative Banks Federation Ltd.
- “Website” means the recruitment and exam portal hosted at https://mucbf.in/.
- “Candidate” / “you” means any person who accesses the Website, registers and/or pays exam fees.
- “Exam Fee” means the fee payable by a candidate for a particular recruitment examination as notified by MUCBF.
- “Payment Gateway” means PhonePe and/or any other authorised payment service provider integrated with the Website.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By using the Website, creating a registration, submitting forms or making an online payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not use the Website or proceed with payment.
3. Eligibility & Accuracy of Information
- You are responsible for ensuring that you meet all eligibility criteria mentioned in the respective recruitment notification / advertisement.
- You must provide true, accurate, complete and current information in the application and during payment.
- MUCBF shall not be responsible for rejection of candidature arising out of incorrect or incomplete information provided by you.
4. User Account, Credentials & Security
- You may be required to create a login or use a registration ID / exam code for online services.
- You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login ID, password and any other account credentials.
- You agree to immediately notify MUCBF of any unauthorised use of your account or any other security breach.
- MUCBF will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with these security obligations.
5. Exam Fee Payment
5.1 Payment process
- Payment of exam fees is to be made only through the authorised online payment gateway integrated on the Website (e.g. PhonePe and/or other approved providers).
- On choosing to pay, you will be redirected to the Payment Gateway’s secure page to complete the transaction.
- Your payment will be considered successful only upon receipt of a “Success” confirmation from the Payment Gateway and update of payment status on the Website.
5.2 Charges & taxes
- Exam fee amounts, taxes and applicable convenience charges (if any) will be displayed at the time of payment.
- You agree to pay all applicable charges as displayed.
5.3 Failed, pending or declined transactions
- If the transaction is declined, failed or remains pending at the Payment Gateway, the exam fee will not be treated as paid.
- In such cases, you may have to initiate payment again. MUCBF is not responsible for delays or issues attributable to banks, UPI apps, card issuers or Payment Gateways.
6. Refund & Cancellation
The detailed refund rules are covered in the Refund & Cancellation Policy. In summary:
- Exam fees once paid are non-refundable and non-transferable under normal circumstances.
- Refunds are permitted only in case of confirmed double / duplicate payment for the same candidate, same exam and same exam code, subject to verification by MUCBF.
You explicitly agree to this limited refund condition when proceeding to pay exam fees.
7. Use of Website & Prohibited Activities
You agree to use the Website only for lawful purposes related to MUCBF recruitment and examinations. You shall not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any portion of the Website or related systems.
- Interfere with or disrupt the security, integrity or performance of the Website.
- Upload, transmit or distribute any malicious code, virus, malware or similar harmful content.
- Use any automated tools (bots, scripts, scrapers) to access the Website except where explicitly permitted.
- Misuse the Website for fraudulent activities, including using false identities or payment details.
8. Intellectual Property
- All content on the Website, including text, graphics, logos, icons, forms, design and software, is the property of MUCBF or its licensors, unless otherwise stated.
- You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Website solely for applying and paying for MUCBF examinations.
- You may not copy, modify, reproduce, publish, distribute or create derivative works from any content without prior written permission of MUCBF.
9. Disclaimers
- The Website and all services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
- While MUCBF endeavours to keep information accurate and updated, it does not warrant that the Website will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free from viruses or other harmful components.
- In case of any discrepancy between information on the Website and the official recruitment notification / advertisement, the latter shall prevail.
10. Limitation of Liability
- MUCBF shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with the use of the Website or online payment services.
- MUCBF shall not be responsible for any loss arising from technical failures, interruption of service, server issues, communication failures, or any event beyond its reasonable control.
- Your sole and exclusive remedy in respect of double / duplicate payments shall be as provided under the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
11. Third-Party Services
Payments are processed by independent third-party Payment Gateways. MUCBF does not control, operate or manage these services and is not responsible for their performance or security practices. Your use of such services is subject to the terms and privacy policies of the respective providers.
12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, courts having jurisdiction over MUCBF’s registered office shall have exclusive jurisdiction in respect of any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms and the use of the Website.
13. Changes to Terms
MUCBF reserves the right to modify, amend, or update these Terms at any time without prior individual notice. The latest version will be posted on https://mucbf.in/. Continued use of the Website after such changes shall constitute your acceptance of the revised Terms.
